All workshops are open to members of the General Public unless otherwise noted. Dates, times, locations and topics are subject to change.

February – Newcomer and Beginner Vegetable Gardening Series, Madison Public Library 10:30 AM – 12 PM, Every Tuesday in February

  • February 6th – Starting a Vegetable Garden – Jayne Luetzow, Regional Extension Agent. February 13th – Seed Starting (what, when and how) Soil Test – Allyson Shabel, Urban Regional Extension Agent
  • February 20th – Maintaining the Garden, Diseases/Insect Control – Lilly Oaks, Regional Extension Agent
  • February 27th – Food Preservation – Christy Mendoza, Regional Extension Agent, Food Safety and Quality

April 18th – “Creating a Beautiful Pollinator-Friendly Cottage Garden” – Madison Public Library, MG Karen Kirk-Williams, 10:30 – Noon

May 21st – “10 Easy Ways to Kill Roses…NOT” – Huntsville Main Library, MG and Rosarian Barbara McFarlen and Gail Futuron, 1PM – 2PM

August 20th – “How to Compost/Different Methods of Composting” – Master Gardener Jim Mullen, 10:30 – Noon

September 18th – “Terrariums”, Hands on, $25, Maximum 25 people – Pam Price & Doty Henry, Alabama Extension 10 AM – Noon

October 15th – “Fall Gardening” – Marcus Garner, Urban Regional Extension Agent, 10:30 – Noon

November 25th – “Fall Floral Arrangement” – MGNA members only, $35, Maximum 25 people, Huntsville Florist, Anderson Education Bldg. Huntsville Botanical Garden, 10 AM – Noon
