Week of June 24

This week in the DVG:

  • We worked on our Indeterminate Tomato plants.  They grew taller than the stakes, so we cut the tops off & planted the tops right in the ground to start a second season of tomato plants.  Tomato plants can be “determinate” or “indeterminate.”  Indeterminate plants do not have a fixed time that they produce fruit… they will produce fruit all season.  (see pictures below)
  • We also planted a second crop of Beans & Cucumbers.
  • Tomato cuttings will take root easily of provided with water.
